New Reading Progamme; Just Read
This term we have been doing a new reading programme called Just Read and what you are suppose to do is basically, JUST READ.
We also have some new groups but still have our old ones and they are called One, Two, Three, Four, and Five. For once the teacher lets us find our own groups but has to be a mix of year 5 & 6's and boys & girls. We made our group really quick, faster than the others then let us choose what group we want to be in. First we wanted to be group Five but then other groups took it then we wanted to be group three but they took it again so we again wanted to be Two but... ANNOYINGLY they also took it but we also wanted to be one and we were the only group left so we were group one.
Athletics Practice STOPPED
Today is Wednesday and we have Athletics practice today again. I don't know if we really are going to do any practice today anyway because it keeps raining then stopping. We have practices on Wednesday because athletics is coming up on week 5 or 6 and we need to practice so we know what to do for each of the sports and get better at it.
After lunch we do some SSR then after about 5 minutes its time to put on our hats and go to the courts for practice. It starts spitting again but stops then when we get to the courts it does it again. When it stops we are ready to go and I'm in group one so then I went to the long jump with the rest of my group. When we start talking about what to do for long jump practice it suddenly starts raining AGAIN but this time it gets stronger and stronger. We all run back to the court for shelter near the sandpit and then pack everything away. We go back to class in 5 minutes and training today is STOPPED AND CANCELLED just because of rain!

Awesome, Challenging, Fun Game
You can find the game here on this link: World's Hardest Game but this is how it works:
You have to use the arrow keys to move your little red square and have to make it to the other green patch. On some levels you have to only just try and get to the green part but on most of them you have to collect the yellow circles but you cant get hit by the blue circles.
You have to be really fast not to get hit and must have good reflexes, if not then it will take you longer to achieve a level. I like this game because it is really challenging and fast. Also because you have to try and get as less deaths as possible. There some levels like level 10 that is impossible to do. I give this game a rating of 7/10 because it's kind of hard when you go to higher levels. I have gone up to level 10/11 it is really hard.
Heroic Comeback For Barcelona!
Finally Barca has won a game in the past 3 games. They won against Valencia CF at last with a close 2-1 win.
Barcelona nearly took the lead at the 22nd minute when Xavi came charging in turning around a defender/midfielder then rocketing a shot at the right but the keeper had came in fast enough in time to dive with the ball to the ground.
Then on the 39th minute Valencia is passing through just on the left of the penalty area then passes to the middle and shoots reflecting off Valdes' keeper gloves and straight into the goal by Pablo Hernandez Dominguez.
Valencia comes back again on the 41st minute taking a pass from the right wing straight to the right-middle of the penalty box and then finally into the middle with another shot but this time Valdes knocks it out of play for a Corner. Half Time and it is 1-0 to Valencia CF
Barcelona scores eventually 2 minutes after halftime at the 47th minute and Iniesta takes an easy shot to the bottom-left corner to make it a 1-1 draw. In the 59th minute Dani Alves does a quick 1 2 pass with Messi takes a cross, then with a header from David Villa rebounds off the keeper with the defenders taking the chance away.
Barcelona score the winning goal at the 63rd minute, Xavi crossing the ball into the box and exactly like how he did it in the FIFA world cup, Puyol headers it in the goal! making the 2-1 lead.
Barcelona are now 3rd from this win and at the end they should be at the top winning the cup and beaten Real Madrid.

CHERUB inspires my learning
I've talked about CHERUB lately and now speaking of CHERUB, it has inspired me. This is true as I will tell you how.
First, I've been reading CHERUB books but at the same time thinking about speeches. Then when we are doing speeches, I suddenly think about CHERUB and come up with an idea, thinking for nearly half an hour. I got my speech from the ideas of CHERUB and now people say my speech is very good.
Second, I was really and superbly stuck on naming my blog, this thingy im writing on just for you guys. And again, I get an idea from CHERUB as I really like reading it and a fan, think of naming this Michael - The CHERUB Guy. I also have a qoute from inside the books but later on found another qoute that meant way more to me then this one but now I will post all of the qoutes I have wanted to put on my blog that I have before.
But Third, CHERUB has given me ideas about what I should be thinking about and what I should learn for example, Dangers around and mainly how to lie, mix in with the surroundings and Act false things.

Speeches Getting Closer And Closer
Speeches are getting nearer and nearer with the pressure harder and harder.
I just hope I make it to the finals or semi-finals! Because I've been working hard on my speech and now I'm onto doing the little cue cards or w/e (Whatever) they are called. You know? those little cards that you write on? Oh who cares!
I ham remember most of my speech luckily! well maybe half. No fine I admit it, I only remember a quarter but I still have 2 weeks or so? To remember it so see you later! And I'm still not telling you my speech.

Speeches, Nervous and Adrenaline!
Oh Dear Oh Dear, we are doing speeches!
I had forgotten all about the speeches in the Term 3/4 holidays and then on the Last First Day Of Term 4 for The Year 6 Summerlanders, maybe on Tuesday 12th, Miss Davies said, "Right we are doing speeches" and then everyone started to get worried!
My speech is obviously going to be the best but I think if I make it to the Finals, I will start to get Anxious and have to go to the toilet straight away (Which is called an Adrenaline rush) and pretty much fail. But that is only if I make it through the Classroom Finals (to your class) and then the Semi-finals (to the Year 5 & 6s) and pretty much, yeah, the finals to the WHOLE SCHOOL. "I have to go to the toilet!"

Where's my teeth?
On Sunday 10th I pulled out 2 teeth! It didn't really hurt because it was really loose anyway and it was so ANNOYING!
If I hadn't pulled it out, then the baby teeth growing under it would've gone all crooked! But it was my chewing teeth near the sides and the back but only at the front 2. Luckily the tooth I pulled out last month on my right chewing side had already been pulled out and the baby tooth had grown. I that didn't happen I would be desperately trying to chew in the middle with my front teeth.
The only reason I think this happened was because because I kept biting hard food and sugary lollies. I warn you now that I have pulled out many teeth! That you don't eat too much lollies to make sure your teeth are super clean and healthy! Don't forget to brush!

Crack an Egg With One Hand
Do you know how to crack an egg with one hand? its really simple. its jus tlike cracking a egg normally with two hands.
I learnt how to crack an egg with one hand in the holidays and guess what it only took me a little bit of time to learn. At first I wasn't sure if I should try cracking an egg with one hand but I was really tempted to becasue MY dad could do it and I wanted to brag about it to my brother.
At first I nearly broke the egg completely but I experimented then it worked. After some practise I could do it a bit easily. Its very complicated if you have never cracked an egg before.
All you have to do is hold on to the egg, crack a bit of it on somewhere hard gently but make sure it makes a little crack, push your thumb on the crack push it in a little bit, pull the egg apart with the top two fingers and bottom two fingers. The last step is the hardest because cracking an egg with one egg is a little hard.
Practising will help and I think it is cool cracking an egg with one hand. I think you should try it, jus tdont get the egg everywhere and don't make a mess because You'll be in trouble. I take no responsibility if you make a mess and only tried it becasue I said suggested to try it. Don't blame me!

Close Win For Barca
It's Dani Alves with the ball and he passes the ball to David Villa, who catches the defenders in the offside trap off guard and he takes the ball up and he shoots in the left pass the keeper! It's a Gooooooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalll! David Villa just scored the first goal in this match for Barcelona playing against Sporting.He has taken the lead for the game in the 22nd September!
The goal in the 49th minute by Villa was the only goal in the match and that had given Barcelona a close win. With the goal so early in the second half they could have scored a goal and made it even but Barcelona has some really strong defence to stop the menacing strikers in the other teams.
Although Barcelona usually scored more than one goal to secure their lead, in the first half Sporting was doing a fantastic job stopping Barcelona's strikes. Especially one from Iniesta who replaced Mess because of an injury. It was in the 9th minute so it would've been a brilliant goal.
This 1-0 win has taken them up into 3rd place because they had 3 wins and 1 loss when the two other teams in front of them had 3 wins and 1 draw each. If Barcelona had 1 draw they might've still been 3rd because Real Madrid and Valencia FC were just a little ahead on goals.

Sleepy, Sleep Earlier Now
I'm very sleepy nowadays in the holidays. I know why, its because I'm going to sleep very late mostly at 4 AM and guess what maybe I'm going to sleep at 2:30 AM tonight because look at this, it is currently 2:09 AM. I am going to bed soon.
I think that all the people reading this post need to remember this. Don't go to sleep tonight or you will be very sleepy in the day and you won't have enough energy to do anything, you might even fall over flat on the ground. Especially on school days, make sure you sleep at 9:30pm at least or a bit before. Wow it is now 2:11 AM and I'm not very tired.
I'm used to sleeping late but sometimes I get sleepy in the day and look! It's 2:12 AM and I am going to be very tired. Goodnight everybody and sleep early!

Barcelona 1-1 Mallorca, A Stupid Draw
Again!!! Barcelona Drew again on 3rd October. This is very bad for Barcelona this season they might note win the League Cup if they don't focus on their games now.
Barcelona drew 1-1 to Mallorca which makes it two ties in a row, (Rubin 1-1 Barcelona / Now Barcelona 1-1 Mallorca). The first goal was from Barcelona scored by a very good player in Barcelona Lionel Messi in the 20th minute and Barcelona though they had luck to win the match already.
They were proven wrong as Mallorca scored an equaliser in the 42nd minute with a header. After that goal the second half was goalless. Barcelona had heaps of opportunities after Messi's Goal but none of them took the ball to the back of the net.
This was a shocking draw and Barcelona has lost alot of points from the draws and losses. If they hadn't drawed they might've been coming first now. Barcelona still needs to work on their defence though and this is only the beginning so they can come back to WIN!

Why Isn't Barcelona on Top?
This is really bad. Barcelona is only coming FOURTH on the Liga BBVA table being beat by Valencia CF (1st), Villarreal CF (2nd) and Real Madrid (3rd). This is terrible. Barcelona shouldn't be coming fourth they should be first!
If they aren't first now, then they will be first when they win at the end of the season. The only reason they are fourth are bacuase of stupid RCD Mallorca because they drew against them too! I think this is only because the coach for Barcelona didn't extend the contract for Thierry Henry (the best soccer player ever) to stay longer and he would've helped them win all of their games.
All I have to say is Go BARCELONA and i also hate Real Madrid, Barcelona's Rival.

Muddy Day For Football
On Sunday 26th, I played football at Summerland and guess what? It was very muddy.
I was muddy on my arms and my legs. The only reason my arms were muddy was because I was practising some overhead kicks like what Berbatov did to score for Man U. I went with my Brother and a friend. We practised some shots and passing but mainly shots. I sometimes tripped from running with the ball and shooting so I got really muddy and when I did some sliding I got grass in my socks! It was very uncomfortable and the mud made me itch.
I took some shots which were about 10 metres away which is pretty long and did them at the rugby posts because they were bigger. I went to the halfway but I missed because my brother was so big he kept stopping all of my shots. My other friend which was my brothers friend did very big shots so my brother got scared and dived out of the way. Which was what I did sometimes when one of the shot the ball at goal but only sometimes when they shot from up close.
I think that it was the really bad day to play football and I learnt that do not try to properly play football when Winter has not finished. Everyone needs to remember that too.

How to Train Your Dragon is Awesome!
Wow I saw How to Train Your Dragon on Sunday 3rd October and it was awesome!
I think it was a very good movie because I like dragons a bit and it was a bit wild. Hiccup was my favourite character because he was the main character and he was smart and trained a dragon. I think Toothless should be called Toothful because he really does have teeth unlike in the book How to Train Your Dragon. Stoick The Vast was really funny because he always gets angry and makes mistakes then changes what he says later on.
I saw this movie with my brother so it was awesome having someone to watch it with. If my brother wasn't here I could watch whatever Movie I would want. I think this movie should be given a rating of 9.5/10 and for all people who likes adventures, Wild scenes and dragons! There is also a book of series for this movie and can be found in the Summerland Library. The first one is obviously, How to Train Your Dragon!

Oh My God! Barcelona Drew on the 29th of Spetember. This is one of the most terrifying thigns that would happen because barcelona normally WINS! atleast it wasn't a lost.
They had drew Against Rubin 1-1 which I though was very sad. Well that was because Barcelona wasn;t playing their hardest and they were only going easy (What I say when something bad happens as an excuse). Pedro nearly scored i nthe first half but it had hit the crossbar and the Goalkeeper recovered from his dive and caught the ball rebounding back.
Moments Later Dani Alves Gives Rubin a penalty and suddenly Rubin scores it, Victor Valdes (goalkeeper) so close to saving it and it is 1-0! I HATE RUBIN!
