WOOOHOOO! 1st High Jump

YES!!! I shouted as I realised I jumped the first 1m and 5cm just for high jump. I knew Ezrah would make it because he is better than me but we were all scared of jumping it because not many of the kids in front of us made it. It went down to Ezrah, Aashay, Connor, Levi and Me. Then connor got eliminated because he didn't take a proper run and then Ezrah hit the pole and it was Aashay, Levi and me left to come in the top 3. We kept going to about 1m 30cm more or less and then suddenly I thought I wont make this one and made the rest of them and came first. I also came 3rd in sprints but that wasn't enough.Aashay came first in Discus, Sprints, Long Jump and 800m race. I say Congratulations and hooray I'm in the cluster for my favourite High Jump...

Athletics Practice STOPPED

Today is Wednesday and we have Athletics practice today again. I don't know if we really are going to do any practice today anyway because it keeps raining then stopping. We have practices on Wednesday because athletics is coming up on week 5 or 6 and we need to practice so we know what to do for each of the sports and get better at it.

After lunch we do some SSR then after about 5 minutes its time to put on our hats and go to the courts for practice. It starts spitting again but stops then when we get to the courts it does it again. When it stops we are ready to go and I'm in group one so then I went to the long jump with the rest of my group. When we start talking about what to do for long jump practice it suddenly starts raining AGAIN but this time it gets stronger and stronger. We all run back to the court for shelter near the sandpit and then pack everything away. We go back to class in 5 minutes and training today is STOPPED AND CANCELLED just because of rain!

Winter Field Day Sports Exchange Is On!

Yay! Winter field day is back, although it has been cancelled because of rugby and soccer's fields, there has been a sport exchange so we can still play.

My sport, Soccer will be at Henderson North Primary school and we will still need the same equipment we needed for the other winter field day this time. I was really happy when the sport exchange came on and it is on the Wednesday 15th September. It is next week so we need to get prepared.

I thought it was good to have a sport exchange so our training wasn't for nothing. Next time, I think Winter Field Day should be later on in the year next time like in September. It should be in the time of this Sport Exchange so they won't have to cancel the Sport Day again like this year and the fields will be much better in the middle of the year.

I hope we win the games we play at Henderson North and Good luck to the other people playing sports somewhere else for Winter Field Day Exchange.

Terrible Loss at Sports Exchange

On Wednesday 15th september we went to the sports exchange. I was doing soccer so then I went to Henderson North School with my team mates. 

On the first game, we were playing against Western Heights and no one had scored in the first half. I was playing up front in striker position with Sam.T in room 22 and we had no goals in the first half. Suddenly when we started in the 2nd Half, 3 minutes into the game they had scored. No one had scored in the game but nearly at the end I went for a shot in goal but they tripped me up when I took my leg back for a shot. I had spun around and landed on my bottom. When I got up I forgot all about the rules and they should of given me a penalty since it was a foul in the penalty area, I was really dizzy! At the end we could of drawed 1-1 but since I didn't get that penalty we lost 1-0

In our 2nd game we were playing against Pomaria and I had nearly got a goal but they all Just bunched up on me. We scored a goal making it 1-0  then in the second half we scored a goal just after the hooter went and we didn't get that 2nd goal. Atleast we won 1-0 and didn't lose again.

The third game was terrible! We lost 3-0 and the last goal they scored was an own goal by Sam Stansfield and I was subbed off at the start of the game because I felt a little injured because of the first game but I was alright after five minutes and I don't even think it was a proper injury. But I played on the left wing when I got subbed back on which isn't my best position because Right wing is easier for me to cross.

We won against Pomaria again in our last game for 3rd and 4th place and the score was 2-1 we only just scored that last goal otherwise we would of went into penalty shoot-outs. I had done a good cross to sam in a free kick which should of been a penalty and the were too bunched up in front of me for a shot but Sam headered it too high so it went over the crossbar. I did alot more good crosses and the 1st goal was from my cross as well.

So Pomaria came 4th, we came 3rd, Henderson North came 2nd and Western Heights had won and came first. I think it was really fun except for that first game foul and I was happy that there was the sports exchange and our training wasn't for nothing. It was a very fun day I wished I could do it next year.
