Winter Field Day Sports Exchange Is On!

Yay! Winter field day is back, although it has been cancelled because of rugby and soccer's fields, there has been a sport exchange so we can still play.

My sport, Soccer will be at Henderson North Primary school and we will still need the same equipment we needed for the other winter field day this time. I was really happy when the sport exchange came on and it is on the Wednesday 15th September. It is next week so we need to get prepared.

I thought it was good to have a sport exchange so our training wasn't for nothing. Next time, I think Winter Field Day should be later on in the year next time like in September. It should be in the time of this Sport Exchange so they won't have to cancel the Sport Day again like this year and the fields will be much better in the middle of the year.

I hope we win the games we play at Henderson North and Good luck to the other people playing sports somewhere else for Winter Field Day Exchange.

Terrible Loss at Sports Exchange

On Wednesday 15th september we went to the sports exchange. I was doing soccer so then I went to Henderson North School with my team mates. 

On the first game, we were playing against Western Heights and no one had scored in the first half. I was playing up front in striker position with Sam.T in room 22 and we had no goals in the first half. Suddenly when we started in the 2nd Half, 3 minutes into the game they had scored. No one had scored in the game but nearly at the end I went for a shot in goal but they tripped me up when I took my leg back for a shot. I had spun around and landed on my bottom. When I got up I forgot all about the rules and they should of given me a penalty since it was a foul in the penalty area, I was really dizzy! At the end we could of drawed 1-1 but since I didn't get that penalty we lost 1-0

In our 2nd game we were playing against Pomaria and I had nearly got a goal but they all Just bunched up on me. We scored a goal making it 1-0  then in the second half we scored a goal just after the hooter went and we didn't get that 2nd goal. Atleast we won 1-0 and didn't lose again.

The third game was terrible! We lost 3-0 and the last goal they scored was an own goal by Sam Stansfield and I was subbed off at the start of the game because I felt a little injured because of the first game but I was alright after five minutes and I don't even think it was a proper injury. But I played on the left wing when I got subbed back on which isn't my best position because Right wing is easier for me to cross.

We won against Pomaria again in our last game for 3rd and 4th place and the score was 2-1 we only just scored that last goal otherwise we would of went into penalty shoot-outs. I had done a good cross to sam in a free kick which should of been a penalty and the were too bunched up in front of me for a shot but Sam headered it too high so it went over the crossbar. I did alot more good crosses and the 1st goal was from my cross as well.

So Pomaria came 4th, we came 3rd, Henderson North came 2nd and Western Heights had won and came first. I think it was really fun except for that first game foul and I was happy that there was the sports exchange and our training wasn't for nothing. It was a very fun day I wished I could do it next year.

The Devastating 7.4 Magnitude Christchurch Earthquake

Saturday Morning, I woke up and turned on the T.V as it was on channel One, There was BREAKING NEWS! It was very shocking and I definitely needed to see what was happening. I thought there was a disaster going to happen to our city, Auckland but actually it had already hit...

There was an Earthquake tha twas 7.4 MAgnitudes last night and it had hit Christchurch.  My eyes were glued onto the T.V as Breaking News was always interesting and a Must-Watch. Nearly all the buildings and houses were destroyed and cars flipped upside down or detached. It was devastating. I thought it was horrible and I felt really sorry for the people who got injured. Luckily no one had died in the earthquake and that meant no lives were gone.

Cars were flipped upside down and some were on top of others, Buildings had fallen over and the roads had HUMUNGOUS holes in the roads. Kids could even fit in them. The earthquake is the 2nd biggest earthquake recorded in New Zealand! No one could use any electricity and there wasn't anymore clean water because the earthquake had damaged all the pipes. Luckily they got sent clean water so they wouldn't get diseases from dirty water and they won't dehydrate. Banks were so nice, they had sponsored the earthquake victims and so that they can fix the area sestroyed from the earthquake. Like ANZ they had sponsored $1 million dollars!

I hope Christchurch will be able to recover form the devastating disaster.
